The Mahatma Gandhi Shikshan Mandal (MGSM) was established in 1969 for imparting educational facilities to the masses. Late Smt. Sharadchandrika Suresh Patil,Ex-Education Minister of Maharashtra and Hon.Dadasaheb Dr. Shri. Suresh G. Patil, Ex-MLA, were the founding members of the MGSM. At present, Mandal is making progress under the guidance of Hon. Adv. Bhaiyasaheb Shri. Sandip Suresh Patil, President of the MGSM, Hon. Ashatai Vijay Patil, Vice-President and Hon. Dr. Smita Sandip Patil, Secretary of the MGSM. MGSMs Smt. S. S. Patil Institute of Technology (D.Pharmacy), Chopda was established in the year 1982 with a vision to create competent pharmacy professionals for the benefit of society. The institute is the only government aided institute of pharmacy in North Maharashtra region.
